awww...

sophie was exhausted and casey was sick with a bad cold - both of these sidelined them in bed early tonight. this allowed me some rare ellee/mommy time. she is so sweet. what a personality - so fiery and full of spunk. i adore her and i wanted to capture her little voice doing her bedtime prayer. i know that in a blink she will be 7 and then 18 and then 25. i am so thrilled at the little person she is becoming, but there are moments that i cannot believe how fast my baby has become a full-on kid. i guess it's one of those hurry up but WAIT kind of things...
here she is in her full glory tonight...i hope Jesus enjoyed it as much as i did. :)

our digs...

we recently did some painting in the kitchen and dining room (again)! we also got some new curtains for the living room. since tonight the house was semi-clean, i decided to snap a few shots to show off our digs. well really...i just wanted to show y'all where we spend our days!
eventually, i will take pictures of the basement toy room, but it is usually a complete disaster. i will also get kids room pics out eventually, but since i only have time to blog while they're asleep, it's tricky!
anyway...i want to encourage you all to post some pics of your places too! i would love to be able to envision your homes while i am reading your amazing blogs!

sisters are the best!

just got to spend some bonus time with my girls today - what a treat! as i was taking pictures - it struck me how big they're getting! these sisters are two peas in a pod - without one, there is no other!
ahhh, it's great to see how God works and how He blesses!
